Ohai guise.
I absolutely love the fact that you guys recognize the need of a lexicon, a means of communicating beyond the blurbs and soundbites herding us here and there. It's a pain to start something without a vision. And double if you have something you have to do and you're only seeing one aspect.
One question that's buzzing in my mind is this:
How do we get the same results from specific behavior as we would from specific policies?
What tends to hold us back is the uphill battle, stalemate, betrayal, and disillusionment that usually goes with trying to have sane policies installed. All that energy, imagine if 1% of it were used to carve just a little progress, bit by bit, quietly through our constructive activity rather than by yelling beautiful slogans at the laughing clowns at the top.
1. What would the world look like if we got rid of corporate personhood?
2. Who can benefit or be harmed and in what way?
3. Why should we pursue this from a top down policy angle when the top is so bought out and we need a bottom up not 'trickle down' political option?
4. How can we tie actions to people, banks, govt, and corporations equally not singling any one aspect?
That's just one example.
Occupy began with a slogan, "What is our one demand?"
This was a huge mistake and it's leading to the use of Occupy as a surrogate mother for a new Democratic party. What it needs to be is, "What are our intents?" I say this having been in contact with Sudanese, Egyptian, and Bahraini protestors as many of us are on Twitter and elsewhere.
Or perhaps it's a little more subtle, "Which of our intents will be accelerated if we force the powers to meet us half way?"
